To New and Old Friends

One of the greatest pleasures with travel is the opportunity to make new friends and meet up with the old.

In Germany we were invited by Juan Claudio and Katrin to stay at their beautiful guest house in Southern Germany. We had never met Juan but he had contemplated doing a Patagonia tour with us a few years back and has been following our blog ever since.

In Prague we met up with an old friend, who took care of us as only Semir can.

Thank you friends.

Finally made it to Croatia and Bosnia

Whilst backpacking through Europe some 20 plus years ago,  I had intended to visit the former Yugoslavia but was denied entry as they were on the brink of war.  I went to Argentina instead and met Gabriela.

Even though 20 years have past, the scars of war are still very much present, especially in Bosnia & Hercegovina
